Meet Taylor
I’m Taylor Wettach, a seventh-generation Iowan born and raised in Muscatine. Growing up, I learned values the Iowa way – through public schools, church pews, family farms, and small towns where everyone knows your name and your word still matters. I was raised to believe that faith calls us to responsibility, and that real strength comes from service, not power; from fairness, not favoritism; and from community, not greed.
Why I'm Running
I’m running for Iowa State Auditor because public office should be about service and responsibility – not power, self-protection and greed.
Today, too many Iowans stretched thin by health care, housing, utilities, food, and child care costs – and the last thing they should have to worry about is whether their tax dollars are being wasted, misused, or diverted. Instead of making life better for Iowans, some politicians are rigging the system to face fewer questions, less oversight, and getting rid of accountability to the people they are meant to serve.
Accountability isn’t a Democratic value or a Republican value – it’s an Iowa value. Iowans deserve an independent watchdog who tells the truth, follows the money, stands up to power, and never forgets who they work for.
